Please Sign Petition To Return Willston School Site to School Board:
The Mason District Council has generated an on-line petition asking the Board of Supervisors to return the Willston School site to the School Board so that a new school can be constructed to relieve overcrowding. Supervisor Gross is opposed to the return. She intends to construct a $125,000,000 county office building on the Willston site and is proposing an unsuitable site on the curb of Columbia Pike in the midst of a busy commercial district for the new school. Background information is available in the written statement on the blog describing the results of the Board of Supervisors meeting that approved the Columbia Pike site for a school. Please sign the MDC on-line petition. The Willston site by far is the preferable location for a school for our community’s children.
